Migiziwag Cross Country - Varsity Lettering Policy

At Lac Courte Oreilles we encourage all runners to try their best, reach their potential and attain their personal and or team goals. Varsity letters will be awarded to those runners who exhibit leadership, sportsmanship, dedication, hard work and a positive attitude toward the success of all members on the team.

A letter will be awarded to each individual who:

  • has no code violations.
  • maintains an effort to be academically eligible throughout the season.
  • is committed to attending practices and meets and works hard while there with no more than 6 practice absences and /or 1 meet absence.
  • will confirm absences with the coach before the practice or meet.
  • daily serves as a positive role model for the Lac Courte Oreilles School.
  •  is dedicated to improving their performance.
  • refrains from cell phone use or other distractions during practices and meets.
  • returns all their warm- ups and uniforms at the end season.

Letters will be awarded during an end of season banquet.  As with all lettering policies, the final decision is at the discretion of the head coach, who may have knowledge of additional circumstances that support the athlete either lettering or not lettering in Migiziwag Cross Country.
