Description
Directly responsible to K-12 Principal.
To implement skills and knowledge in one or more courses in auto mechanics, electricity, power
mechanics or general shop to Middle and High School Students.
Responsible for record keeping (attendance, grades, reports, etc.)
Communicate with parents regarding progress.
To develop in each pupil an insight and understanding of industry, business and professional conduct.
To develop practical problem solving skills related to the materials and process of industry.
To develop in each pupil skills in the safe use of tools and machines, use of eye protection and safety
guards.
Guide pupils in selection of appropriate projects.
Maintain accurate daily records of student attendance, conduct and grades.
Maintain control of storage and use of school-owned property.
Supervises students in out of class activities as assigned.
In corporate culture based curriculum/lesson plans for the instruction of aforementioned courses.
Assists in morning, noon, between classes and afternoon hall monitoring.
Participate in curriculum and other professional developmental programs.
Responsible for orderly classroom and clean-up activities accomplished within the allotted time.
Attend weekly staff meetings and on a voluntary basis, School Board meeting.
Assists in school events such as, but not limited to; school powwows, assemblies and graduations.

Requirements
Certified Secondary Education, Vocational/Technical Education.
Knowledge of Auto Mechanics, Drafting, Woodworking, Power Mechanics and shop equipment,
electronics, metals, welding.
Must be willing to continue education for proper certification in secondary education.
Experience teaching American Indian youth.
Must be supportive of the philosophy, concept, policy and procedures of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe
School.
Native American preference in employment.
