Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) Mission Statement:
It is our mission to build parent, family and community involvement to support all of our Anishinabe students in their success academically, socially and overall well-being.
We seek the input and assistance from the voice of our Tribal families and the community in our decision-making and educational process. Upon enrollment at the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School, all parent/guardians are automatically considered members of the PAC and encouraged to attend monthly meetings. Information is accepted at any time and the agenda is flexible to meet attendee needs.
Our Parent Advisory Committee is open to all community members with an established stake in the students of Lac Courte Oreilles in order to enhance the initiatives and team work put forth towards our efforts here at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School. We value the strong connection our school has with our children, families, elders and community as a whole. We strive to maintain positive relationships with our student body and their families. Our network allows us a vast array of opportunities for kindergarten students and high schoolers alike.
Our goals include projects to better serve our Family and Child Education (FACE) through twelfth grade students, updates on student activities, initiatives, student services, culture/language inclusion, academic scope/sequence and all aspects of student life.
Parent Advisory meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month from 4:00-5:00 in the elementary library. Snacks and refreshments are served.
