Description
1. Use high proficiency levels of rich oral and written Ojibwe.
2. Attend professional development activities as required by their supervisor.
3. Communicate positively with parents and the community through a variety of means and
participates in parent conferences and other necessary meetings as needed.
4. Provide clear directions and explanations to students related to all educational experiences and
contexts.
5. Assist with the preparation of classroom organization and material creation.
6. Assist with planning, instructing, and assessing student learning.
7. Perform other support duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. HS Diploma.
2. Demonstrated proficiency in Ojibwe language.
3. Two or more years of documented teaching experience in K-8

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working with students in grades K-9.
2. WI DPI certification as Indian language and culture aide (925), Indian language (926), or Indian
history and culture (927).
3. Post-secondary education and/or coursework in education.
4. Post-secondary education and/or coursework in language immersion education.
5. Advanced oral and written communication skills.
6. Dedication to revitalization of Ojibwe language through immersion education.
