Summary: The applicant is expected to function as an assistant in all classrooms and outdoor
learning activities, and assist staff and students in an Ojibwe medium environment.

Performance Responsibilities:
1. Monitor activities of students at meal, restroom, and recess times.
2. Assist teachers with classroom and/or outdoor learning activities.
3. Interact with children, teachers, and staff in Ojibwe language.
4. Perform other tasks as requested by Lead Teachers and Administrative staff.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Associate’s Degree in Education or equivalent.
2. Must be able to work well with others.
3. Willing to use Ojibwe language to interact with Waadookodaading staff and students at
all times.
4. Proficiency with computers and classroom technology.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education
2. Experience working with students in grades preK-12.
3. WI DPI certification as Indian language and culture aide (925), Indian language (926), or
Indian history and culture (927).
4. Post-secondary education and/or coursework in language immersion education.
5. Advanced oral and written communication skills.
6. Dedication to revitalization of Ojibwe language through immersion education.
