Description
Responsible for the implementation of curriculum/lesson plans for the instruction of art/music courses.
Responsible for record keeping of the aforementioned Art/Music classes, i.e.: attendance, grade reports,
quarterly reports, class scheduling, proficiency/deficiency reports, etc.
Coordinate seasonal music performances for elementary.
Assists in hall monitoring throughout school day, recess and/or lunch supervision as needed.
Meets with parents, in conjunction with the Principal and Counselor regarding student
proficiency/deficiency reports, disciplinary measures and attendance.
Works with the Student Services Team concerning parent communication visits and in-school
conferences.
Attend staff meetings.
Responsible for ordering classroom curriculum, resource and materials for art department.
Assist in school events such as, but not limited to, assemblies, school feasts and powwows, student
awards programs, prom, Jr./Sr. Banquet and graduations, etc.
Requirements
Wisconsin license certification 550 preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related degree.
Experience teaching American Indian youth preferred.
Must be supportive of the philosophy, concept, policy and procedures of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe
School.
Native American preference in employment.
