Return to Campus

December 4th, 2020

Boozhoo Parents and Families

We hope this notice finds you safe and healthy.  This is a reminder that the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School will return to in person instruction beginning Monday, December 7th.

Elementary students in grades k-5 will be on site four days a week following the previous Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday schedule.

Students in grades 6-12 will have reduced on campus schedules beginning Monday.  High School Students will be on site Monday and Tuesdays and off campus Thursday and Friday with virtual live classes following the regular day schedule.  Middle School students will be off campus and have virtual live classes on Monday and Tuesday following the regular day schedule and will be on campus Thursday and Friday.  This schedule will continue until the holiday break begins after the planned early release on December 22nd.

If your student was attending on campus prior to the two week shift to virtual, and will not be returning to in person instruction on campus, please notify the school as soon as possible.

Regular attendance, whether in person or through virtual learning is extremely important for your child’s success.   Please help your student follow a ‘regular’ school schedule by maintaining consistent bedtimes and reducing non-academic screen time, and of course, supporting them in logging into classes and activities.  If at any time you have questions about schedules or expectations, please do not hesitate to give us a call.

Beginning Monday the 7th, lunch distribution will once again only be available at the school from noon until 12:30. Please call ext 1221 if you would like to request a lunch for your virtual student.   The after school program will continue to run until the Christmas Break.  If you are interested in additional after school support for your child, you are encouraged to call Craig Euneau at extension 1254 for more information.

We understand that this is a trying time for many families and appreciate the efforts that families have made to support the students of Lac Courte Oreilles.

Miigwech & Be Safe.
